Thanks to the tide-independent year-round ferry schedule, Borkum is an attractive getaway destination at any time of the year. The company AG EMS offers ferry service on its car ferries and on a high-speed catamaran from Emden (Germany) and Eemshaven (Netherlands) to the largest of the East Frisian Islands. Both ports offer daily parking as well as long-term parking garages in the immediate vicinity of the ferry terminals. The Borkum quay in Emden is easily accessible by the German national rail service. The train stops in the immediate vicinity of the ferry terminal.
